Stacy Kenton Buchanan, age 73, of Live Oak, FL, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL, after losing his battle to cancer. He grew up in Tampa, FL, before moving to Mayo, FL with his family and later moving to Live Oak. Stacy worked as a carpenter and was a very talented craftsman, known for the pride and skill he put into his work. He also had a deep love for music and was an amazing pianist who could play beautifully by ear, a talent that brought joy to everyone who heard him. He also loved the Florida State Seminoles, watching football and baseball and the Food Network on television.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dolan and Colleen Buchanan, a brother, Dolan "Boofy" Buchanan and his brother-in-law, Andy Hart.
He is survived by one son, Ashley Buchanan, Live Oak, FL; three daughters, Summer (Jason) Worth, Jillian (Kyle) Herron and Gabrielle Buchanan all of Live Oak, FL; one brother, Cory (Ginny) Buchanan, Mayo, FL; one sister, Glenda Hart, Mayo, FL; and a sister-in-law, Rosalyn Buchanan, Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services were held, 11:00 AM, Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Community Presbyterian Church with Pastor Travis Buchanan officiating.
