Steven Noel Pennington

Steven Noel Pennington, age 64, of Live Oak, FL passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at his home following a brief illness. Steve was born in Valdosta, Georgia, moving to Live Oak in 1977 from Pinetta, FL. He worked for the CSX Rail Company with the engineering department and as a safety coordinator for forty-six years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing basketball, where he was named to the Big Bend all-conference team, also enjoyed playing softball. He loved watching and keeping up with FSU sports. He could often be seen taking his beloved Labrador retriever (Oakley) for walks around the house. His most treasured moments were the times he spent with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his significant other, Ann Warner, Live Oak,
FL; his parents, Hubert and Carol Pennington, Lake City, FL; three sons, Thomas Pennington, Madison, FL; Matthew (Kelly) Pennington, Live Oak, FL and Zachary (Kayla) Pennington, Spokane, WA; two sisters, Lisa (Roger) Newberry, Lake City, FL and Deann (Jack) Najera, Santa Cruz, CA; Six grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held, 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 19, 2023 in the Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Rodriquez and Rev. Chip Parker officiating.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
