Susan Marie Poston
March 5, 1938 — April 29, 2019
Susan Marie Poston, age 80, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Monday morning, April 29, 2019 at Shands Lake Shore Hospital in Lake City, Florida following a lengthy illness. She was born in Palatka, Florida and resided in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Live Oak in her 20's. Susan worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and taught typing and shorthand for the Suwannee County School system for over 25 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1974.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Katheryn Carter; her husband, Kenneth Poston; two sons, Robert E. Perry, Jr. and James Gregory Perry; one brother, James Redd Carter and one sister, Carolyn Rogers.
She is survived by two daughters, Teri (Greg) Grantham and Cheryl Perry Collier both of Live Oak; thirteen grandchildren and Nineteen great grandchildren. Three nieces & nephews and five great nieces and nephews.
Services were held 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 4, 2019 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President David Poole Officiating.
Private family graveside services were held in the Oak Hill East Cemetery in Palatka, FL.
