Susan James Radford

Susan James Townsend Radford, age 73, of Live Oak, FL passed away, Wednesday evening, February 21, 2024 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL following a lengthy illness.  She was a native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL and was a graduate of Suwannee High School, class of 1968.  Susan worked in the insurance industry as an agent for many years and was a member of the First Advent Christian Church.  She loved gardening and working in her yard.

She was predeceased by her parents, Jason “Buddy” and Elsie James.

She is survived by three sons, Phillip (Kris Silliven) Townsend, Live Oak, FL; Jason Townsend, Fayetteville, NC and Darrin (Melissa) Townsend, Chicago, IL; one sister, Rita (Mark) Petersen, Green Cove Springs, FL; four grandchildren and her loving dog, “BoBo”.

Visitation was held Monday, February 26th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside services were held, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in the Live Oak Cemetery with her son, Darrin Townsend officiating.
