Thelma Shaw Byrd

Thelma Byrd, age 85, of Live Oak, FL passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Suwannee Health Care Center. She was born in Cross City, FL moving to Live Oak, FL in 1961. Thelma worked as a beautician and was a member of the Broken Lance Native American Church in Wellborn, FL. She dedicated her life to her family and church. She was predeceased by her parents, Clayton and Naomi Shaw, her husband Bill Byrd and a daughter, Baby Byrd. She is survived by three daughters, Louise (Ken) Miller, Jean (Billy Joe) Brown, Christy Hillhouse; one son, Billy (Jennifer) Byrd, all of Live Oak; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Herbie Raker and Ken Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery.
