Thomas "Tom" Hutchison
July 4, 1944 — August 5, 2024
Thomas “Tom” Hutchison, Sr., age 80, of Live Oak, FL passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. He was a native of Camden, NJ moving to Live Oak, FL in 1980 from Clearwater, FL. He worked in construction as a carpenter and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. Tom was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and American Legion. He loved playing golf, woodworking, yard work, fishing, exploring, and riding his John Deere Tractor. He was an avid reader and loved reading the newspaper. He also loved drinking coffee and catching up with friends at the Dixie Grill.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie Hutchison, Live Oak, FL; two sons, Thomas Harold (Jane) Hutchison, Jr., Robbinsville, NJ and Herbert Wayne (Sharon) Hutchison, Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Rebecca (Jeremiah) Carter, Wellborn, FL; one sister, Joan Newell, Hightstown, NJ and five grandchildren.
Memorial services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Live Oak Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Louis Medaris officiating.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
