Thomas Leroy ”Tommy” Thompson August 21, 1944 * September 20, 2010 Thomas Leroy “Tommy” Thompson, age 66, of Wellborn, Florida passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 at his home in Wellborn, FL. The Key West, FL native moved to Wellborn, FL six years ago from Big Pine Key, FL. Tommy worked for many years as a self-employed commercial fisherman before his health started failing and he moved with his family to Wellborn, FL. He loved fishing and woodworking. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, repair or make, he was an all around handyman. Survivors include his wife, Edna Thompson, Wellborn, FL; two brothers, Hersel Thompson, Murfreesboro, TN; Frankie Thompson, Big Pine Key, FL. Visitation was held Thursday, from 9:15 AM until the services at the graveside. Services were held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010 at the graveside with Bishop Frank Allen officiating.
