Tim Hilt, 56 of Live Oak, Florida passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, in Shands at Live Oak, FL. The Miami, FL native was raised in Tavernier, FL and lived part of the time in Live Oak and most of the time in Tavernier. He served in the U.S. Army. Tim was a wonderful musician and played lead guitar for the band, “Sundown” he also played with many groups including the “Coon Dog Review” and the OCB’s. He was Past Governor and Fellow of Key Largo Moose Lodge #2287 and Past Member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #1872 in Tavernier and was of the Catholic faith.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Jean Hilt; a brother, Richard Hilt.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Hilt, Live Oak, FL and Tavernier, FL; a cousin, Kathy Melau of Tavernier, FL and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in the Florida Keys.
