Victor Joseph Grondzki, Jr., age 94, of Dowling Park, FL passed Tuesday
afternoon, August 23, 2016 at his home in Dacier Manor. He was born in Trenton, NJ
moving to Live Oak in 1983 from Delaware. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp
having served during WWII as Private First Class from 1942 until 1945. He worked as a
mechanical supervisor for DuPont for twenty-seven years. Victor loved to travel and over
the years has traveled over 157,000 miles in his motorhome in the USA and Mexico with
his wife Flo. During his stay at Dacier Manor, he was noted to play his harmonicas daily
as well as singing along with his favorite CD’s. One of his favorite passions was
restoring biplanes and flying co pilot with his son Larry. Vic (as his friends called him),
was Grand Marshall in 2014 for the local Veterans Day parade. He was a member of St.
Francis Xavier Catholic Church. His family meant the world to him and he enjoyed
being with them every chance he could get! Everyone always commented that Vic
“always had a smile on his face!”
He is survived by two daughters, Christine (Don) Herauf, Sparks, NV; Theresa
(Mark) Kreyche, Tustin, CA; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Grondzki, Woodstock, GA;
two sisters, Florence D’Armino and Jean Pierkowski both of Whiting, NJ; three
grandchildren, Kim Nalley, Atlanta, GA, Todd Grondzki, Woodstock, GA, and Laura
Kreyche, Tustin, CA; and four great grandchildren.
A Memorial will be held in late November in Canton, GA.
