Vivian Hardee Garland

Vivian Hardee Garland, age 79, of Live Oak, Florida passed away early Monday morning, November 22, 2010 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL following complications from Alzheimer’s disease. The native and life-long resident of Live Oak, FL worked for many years for North Florida Telephone Company. After her retirement from the phone company she worked as a substitute teacher in the Suwannee County School System. She enjoyed cooking and loved to sing, she also loved music, especially Elvis Presley. Vivian was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Live Oak where she attended the Elizabeth Crews Sunday School class.
Survivors include her husband, Wyman M. Garland, Live Oak, FL; one son, Wyman (Susan) Garland, Live Oak, FL; one daughter, Julie Garland, Orlando, FL; two sisters, Myrtle Mills, Live Oak, FL; Ruth Ann Folsom, Lake City, FL; two grandchildren, Justin & Lindsey Garland.
Funeral services were held, 3:00 PM Wednesday, November, 24, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Herrington officiating. Viewing was held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment followed in the Live Oak Cemetery.
