Walter Lewis Howell

Walter Lewis Howell, age 75, of Live Oak, FL passed Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Clearwater, FL living most of his life in Live Oak. Walter owned and operated Howell’s Office Supply for many years. He loved hunting, playing golf and raising cattle. Walter loved most of all, spending time with his grand kids! He was a member of the Live Oak Shrine Club, Live Oak Elks Lodge #1165. He was also a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Knight Howell, Live Oak; two daughters, Tammy (Mark) Myers, Panama City, FL; Lisa (Tim) Sweet, Live Oak; two brothers, Edward (JoAnne) Howell, Live Oak, FL; Eugene (Ruth) Howell, Annandale, VA; two sisters, Maxine Douglass, Thomasville, GA; Shirley (Mike) Kurtz, St. Johns, FL; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Nature Coast or Westwood Baptist Church, 920 Eleventh St., Live Oak, FL 32064. Memorial services were held, 2:00 PM, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Bush officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.
