William Herbert Davis

William Herbert Davis, age 95, of Live Oak, FL passed away Sunday morning, September 24, 2023 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. He was born in Ludowici, GA moving to Live Oak, FL in 1957 from Florahome, FL. He worked in the forestry industry for many years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was one of the longest living members of the Antioch Baptist Church of Live Oak. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Rufus and Minnie Davis; three brothers, Woodfin Davis, Rufus F. Davis and Larry H. Davis; his first wife, Francis Davis, one daughter, Janet Davis and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Davis; two sons, Stanley (Patti) Davis and Ben Davis all of Live Oak, FL; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Antioch Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida.
