William Rudolph "Rudy" Dees

Rudy Dees May 29, 1935 * November 1, 2011 Rudy Dees, age 76, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Tuesday November 1, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Live Oak moving to Jacksonville, FL where he worked as an accountant for the City of Jacksonville moving back to Live Oak in 1998. Rudy was an avid sports fan, mostly football. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, traveling and was a city league umpire and a member of the Suwannee Quarterback Club and the First Baptist Church of Live Oak. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, granddaddy, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dees, Live Oak, FL; two daughters, Wanda Dees, Tampa, FL; Susan (Larry) Weaver, Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Irvin (Olga) Dees, Live Oak, FL; one sister, Elizabeth (Harry) Palmer, Albany, GA; three grandchildren, Seth, Shea and Reece. Visitation was held, Friday, Nov. 4th from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Graveside services were held, 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 5, 2011 in the Live Oak Cemetery with Rev.
