William D. Humphrey, age 91, of Jensen Beach, FL passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his daughter’s home in Mayo, Florida. A native Floridian, he was born to the late Dill D. and Julia Edith Whitten Humphrey on February 7, 1927. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Burkholder. They celebrated their 70th anniversary last March. Bill was the owner and operator of the Standard Oil Service Station on Worth Avenue and South County Road in Palm Beach, Florida. After selling the business in 1973, he worked security at the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, FL, until his retirement. His family will continue to remember him as a great father who always put his family first and cherished every moment spent with them. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing both fresh and saltwater. Bill was a member of the United ChurchOf Christin Lake Worth, Fl. He is survived by his wife, Nancy B. Humphrey; Daughters, Kay (Larry) Woeber; Susan Molineaux, and Lynne (David) Duckett; Grandchildren, Jeff Woeber, Bryan (Heather) Woeber, Lauren (Edward) Woeber Gifford; Jason Molineaux, Jon Molineaux, Aimee (Todd) Molineaux, Davie Duckett, Daniel (Shayna) Duckett and Ben Duckett. Great grandchildren, Kristin Duckett, Ali Duckett, Hailey Duckett, Brogan Woeber, Fallon Woeber, Harper Weldon and Henry Weldon. He was preceded in death by his loving son, William D. Humphrey, Jr. A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
