William Mobley

William “Donnie” Mobley, age 68, of McAlpin, FL, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. He was a native and life-long resident of McAlpin, FL, working as a correctional officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. Donnie was a U.S. Army Veteran proudly serving from 1971 until 1991. His favorite pastime was tinkering on the computer and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Mobley, McAlpin; his mother, Helen Mobley, McAlpin; three sons, David (Jeni) Mobley and Patrick Mobley both of Lake City and Kenneth Mobley, McAlpin; two daughters, Rebecca Avery, Lake City and Scarlett Mobley, McAlpin; one brother, Lavern (Paula) Mobley, McAlpin; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Pinemount Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Sexton officiating. Interment followed in the McAlpin Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
