Willie Herschel Kilgore

Willie Herschel Kilgore, age 67, of Ft. White, FL, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at Lake City Medical Center after an extended illness. Herschel participated in various community organizations including Kiwanis, Masons and the Shrine over the years, and was a member of the Methodist Church. He worked in the field of carwash sales and service for 35 years and continued to mentor others and provided consultation services to those interested carwash development. As a member of the Western Carwash Association and a Board member for several years, he was well known and respected in the carwash industry. When time permitted, he enjoyed deep sea fishing with friends. After retirement, he moved from Riverside, California to Fort White, Florida to be near his sons and their families.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Kilgore, and son Charles Kilgore from Ft. White, FL; son and daughter-in-law, John and Amy Kilgore from Lake City, FL; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Leola Lareau from Winston, GA and Cindy and Jimmy Campbell from Conyers, GA; two grandchildren, Ryan and Jonathan Kilgore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harris Funeral Home and Cremations, Inc. of Live Oak handled the arrangements. He will always be remembered as a generous, fun and loving friend, husband, father, and grandfather who lived life his way. If you would like to remember Herschel, please donate to your favorite charity in his name.
